Starting from a high level of technical skill, the work of Magnus Klackenstam
often play down the perfection and add the unexpected – in the
end to come up with a fresh and authentic take on beauty and desirability.
In the clean lines of his compositions you can sense the energy, the
organized chaos or whatever was happening at the shoot, as Magnus is keen
to catch the subtle changes in mood and movement that makes an image stand
out.
It is such qualities that has made Magnus a favourite collaborator with
many of the new breed of Swedish designers, as well as with young and
ambitious fashion magazines. But his high quality work has also been
commissioned for many large national campaigns. Although barely in his
thirties, Magnus Klackenstam, has already acquired a lot of experience,
starting out early assisting photographers such as Peter Gerkhe and Robert
Nettarp, as well as working at Pin Up Studios in Paris.
