“I have just one goal with my photos – to be honest with myself. I try not to make myself out to be either better or worse than I am. And I try to see the world as it is. Neither better nor worse. I want to show the beauty in day-to-day things and the day-to-day nature of beauty. I can be pretty cool, but I’m never ironic, because I love the things I photograph.”

Johan has taken photos for magazines such as Crash, Bon and Forum and has worked on campaigns for Harvey Nichols, Polaroid, Festis, France Telecom and Iittala, to name just a few. He has also had photo exhibitions at Galleri Roger Björkholmen, Tensta Konsthall and Moderna Museet.
